Description

The Ash Serpent is a magical creature that guards the most secret corners, symbolizing both death and rebirth. Its ethereal form glides silently through the air, leaving a faint trail of hot smoke, while its fiery, glowing red eyes pierce the darkness. Known for its grace and elegance, the serpent emits clouds of ash and hot smoke from its mouth, cloaking the area in a smoldering haze. Legend has it that it was once a spirit protecting a civilization that ultimately fell to its own destructive magic. If the Ash Serpent is slain, it can disintegrate into ash, only to reassemble after a few minutes, ensuring that it continues its vigil over the remnants of greatness.

Ash cloud

The Ash Serpent exhales a cloud of superheated ash in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 38 (11d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Dissolve

If the Ash Serpent is reduced to 0 hit points, its body disintegrates into ashes and it can be reborn after 1d4 minutes unless dispelled by a powerful magical force.

Smoke Veil

The Ash Serpent surrounds itself with a veil of hot smoke, granting it advantage on Dexterity saving throws and making it invisible until it attacks or until the end of its next turn.
