The Bathhouse (Lower floor)
The cellar of the Therme includes bath grottoes, private storage areas, and utility rooms, all supported by intricate plumbing for fresh and wastewater. Above the cellar, the hypocaust system provides heating. Beneath it all, a secret subcellar hides the Juvenarium with hidden passages and lower-ceilinged rooms.
The Bathhouses (Ground Floor)
The Bardo and Cella Baths stand dark and imposing in the heart of Gareth's West District, surrounded by a large park. Built in a gloomy Perval style, the bathhouses radiate an eerie aura that is more off-putting than inviting. Their grotesque water spouts and crumbling mosaics make the buildings appear like relics from a dark, forgotten past. It is rumored that the architect was bribed by the House Bugenhog, which feared the competition from the Imperial Baths in the Old City. The Cella Bath is currently unused and abandoned, while the Bardo Bath, capable of hosting hundreds of visitors at once, is typically visited by only a few dozen each day. However, during the Year’s End Orgy, one of the grandest festivals of the year, the Bardo Bath is filled with around 200 revelers. The grand hypocaust in the basement ensures warm tiles and hot springs, with water sourced from one of Gareth's underground aqueducts, which feeds the baths' water reservoir.
