Apodyteria (Changing Rooms)

Apodyteria (Changing Rooms)

The air here is thick with the scent of damp wood and soap, and the light is harsh, bright, almost clinical. The changing rooms hum with activity as guests, anxious and curious, exchange their attire for towels and tokens. The walls, adorned with intricate aranis woodwork, seem to close in, casting strange shadows over the benches and racks filled with shoes and clothing. The sound of footsteps echoes, mingling with the soft rustle of fabric as servants move swiftly behind the counter, handing out numbered tags with mechanical efficiency.

Bardo Hall

Bardo Hall

The room is dominated by dark marble walls and purple curtains, creating a haunting atmosphere. The floor features a mosaic of a crown, surrounded by laurel branches and vines. The centerpiece of the room is a large statue of Emperor Bardo, who is dressed in a bizarre lizard- or dragon-like festive costume. The room is decorated with various statues, but none overshadow the emperor’s statue. In the center of the room, there is an opulent buffet A hollow bust contains Taradiel’s dagger and five throwing discs, hinting at secrets or relics. This is one of the main centers of the event. 2W20 guests gather here to indulge in drinking, chatting, and being served by prostitutes. Jugglers and bards entertain, while Emperor Bardo occasionally holds court on the golden throne. The event is marked by excessive indulgence, with a constant atmosphere of hedonism and overindulgence.

Bibliothek

Bibliothek

This paneled hall exudes timeless charm with towering bookshelves and imposing bookstands. Typically a haven for knowledge, the space has been transformed during the festival into a cozy retreat, where plush cushions and soft blankets are scattered across the floor to create intimate seating and reclining areas. An ornate podium at the center displays a horned lizard skull with an inscription crediting its discovery to a "Farathos-Expedition into the Echsensümpfe, 16–21 Bardo." The centerpiece of the floor is a stunning mosaic map of Aventurien, offering an impressive visual for the bibliophile or wanderer.

Caldarium

Caldarium

The Caldarium is the largest bath hall in the complex, crowned by a painted domed ceiling. Hot water flows from fish and monster mask-shaped spouts into the central pool, which reaches a depth of 2 steps. A humid steam rises from the water. Hanging cages from the ceiling house performers dressed as nymphs and incubi, who belong to the person who can climb out of the pool and scale the cages (requiring an Athletics +7 check). A statue of Rahja, rising from a shell made of pink Eternem marble, dispenses cool water from her breasts. A staircase lit by red lanterns leads to the Emperor's Grotto (U6). At the apex of the archway leading to the massage room, a relief depicting Emperor Perwal's head (father of Bardo and Cella) can be found. His citrine necklace glitters. Climbing to it (with a Climb +5 check) allows a person to break off the gems with the right tools.

Chamber of forbidden Pleasures

Chamber of forbidden Pleasures

This chamber serves as a private and discreet playroom for certain influential and experienced guests during the orgy. The room is used for engaging in sexual practices that are too delicate or grotesque for the average orgy participant and are considered abhorrent, criminal, or sacrilegious by society. The activities here cross the line into depravity. Access is granted only by invitation from one of the room's lords. Notable Figures: Lords and Ladies of the Forbidden Pleasures: Zurbaran (a key figure) Magda Burkherdall (a Belkelel pact-maker) Baldram Springloff Ilmariel Prutz Victims of these practices might include: Dhana Ilgur Isna-Inti Elaou Unaware orgy newcomers Children, including the harpy from U17 Animals

Die Kaisergrotte

Die Kaisergrotte

Lighting: Twilight or moonlight during the jungle night. Temperature: Warm. Features: The room is designed to resemble a natural grotto. The staircase ends directly in a hip-deep water basin, which occupies most of the space. Visitors can press into rock niches, sit on benches in the water with a wine cup, or lie down and admire the ceiling, which is decorated with numerous rock carvings.. On the stage is a mohican jungle village setting, complete with a cannibal cooking pot. Vines, ferns, and potted flowers with colorful, head-sized blooms reinforce the jungle atmosphere. Paintings on wall tiles depict the Mohavölker (tribes) as created by Kamaluq. The golden bust of Emperor Bardo, smiling patronizingly at the viewer, feels out of place in the otherwise Meridiana jungle setting. This grotto is a central component of Bardo’s echsian rejuvenation device, which leads to the secret Juvenarium (U21). It serves as a recruitment ground for victims.

Efferd Temple

Efferd Temple

The chapel is a sacred space dedicated to Efferd, the god of waters, and is centered around an altar that depicts Efferd as the Lord of Springs. The altar is surrounded by incense burners and offerings, including shells, crayfish, Gwen Petryl, and chalices with wine and water. A statue of Sankta Elida of Salza, the saint of Efferd who fights against the Nameless and is a protector of purity, stands in the chapel. She is depicted fighting a two-headed lizard (one head being a lizard and the other a horned lizard). The chapel, altar, and the various depictions within it are simply consecrated to Efferd, the god of water, purification, and healing.

Frigidarium

Frigidarium

This shadowy bathing hall is dominated by a vast, cold water pool up to 2 Schritt (roughly 2 meters) deep. The floor of the pool is a masterpiece of mosaic art, visible through the shimmering water. The grim visage of Firun, god of hunting and winter, looms large in the mosaic, flanked by ice bears and surrounded by swirling snow and frost-cloud figures. He appears to scatter glittering objects into the gaping maw of a bizarre two-headed lizard, one head like an iguana and the other adorned with thirteen horns.

Hotel Korninger

Hotel Korninger

The Korninger Hotel (Q 6/P 6/S 12/B 4/A 1) is a small, middle-class, and respectable establishment located in the affluent Weststadt, a district of New-Gareth. The stiff proprietor, Travian Korninger (addressed as "Sir," "Herr Korninger," or "Your Honor" for an acolyte), is as prim and proper as they come. He receives the heroes for tea (using coasters, pinky raised) and nervously describes his situation before being overcome with distress.

Ice Chamber

Ice Chamber

Access: Heavy, unlocked door leading to the corridor (robust, medium lock, key in E5). Lighting: Darkness, typical for such a cold environment. Temperature: Freezing cold. Features: The room is completely frozen. Shelves hold frozen fruits, seafood, and cherry ice cakes. Icicles hang from the ceiling, door frame, and shelves. The low temperature is caused by a stone relief of an ice bear on the wall. From the bear's nostrils, a continuous stream of cold air emanates (a semi-permanent CALDOFRIGO artifact). Activities: Occasionally, a Moha servant retrieves a frozen dish, breaks ice blocks into smaller pieces for cold showers, or forms snowballs for a patrician who has ordered them for "refreshing entertainment." Vampir-Gegenmittel (Vampire Anti-Magic): Icicles are destructive against vampires. Snow and ice are burning to vampires.

Innenhof

Innenhof

The Innenhof is a vibrant, verdant courtyard enclosed by an elegant colonnaded walkway. Above, colorful lanterns cast their gentle glow over the scenery, bathing benches, lush flowers, and graceful elf statues in shifting hues. These statues spill water from their cornucopias into two shallow ornamental pools, where koi swim among blooming water lilies and aquatic plants. Two Glücksbrunnen, or "wishing fountains," glisten with scattered coins, their waters fed by sculpted two-headed lizards eerily similar to the monstrous creature depicted in the Frigidarium mosaic. One fountain hides a mechanism: throwing exactly 13 pearls as seen in the mosaic opens a secret passage to U7, revealed as water drains to unveil a spiral staircase.

Latrinen

Latrinen

A faintly warm draft greets you as you step into the dimly lit latrine. The pale light flickers uncertainly, casting long shadows across the damp stone floor. A faint floral aroma, almost sickly sweet, mingles with the acrid stench of waste, creating a heady, unpleasant miasma. Above the archway, an old, weathered sign in Bosparano chides potential offenders with stern words about divine wrath. E4.1, E4.2 – Latrines Access: Connected to the Apodyterium and corridor. Lighting: Dim Temperature: Warm Description: Communal facilities include urinals with drainage, squat toilets, and bucket flushing. A sign at the entrance warns against relieving oneself outside: Cacator cave malum! Aut si contempseris, habeas Praium iratum. ("Beware of defiling the tiles! Otherwise, incur the wrath of Praios.")

Massage Hall

Massage Hall

The room is designed for relaxation and indulgence, with lounging benches where attendants can oil and massage guests. The highlight of the room is the Rahjaborn, a large alabaster tub filled with mare’s milk. This is where well-built masseurs (mostly male) await to rub the ‘rejuvenation elixir’ into the skin of mostly female guests, offering a luxurious, rejuvenating experience. The walls are decorated with heraldic symbols and an ornate two-handed sword. Above the entrance, the inscription “Refugium senectorum” is engraved, meaning "Refuge for the Elderly". The room’s walls are clad in black polished basalt, giving it a dark, almost ominous feel. A Geology Test would reveal that the basalt is Koschbasalt, a type of stone that dampens magical energy. Spells cast in or through the walls of this room require 12 additional points of difficulty (ZfP). Earth-bound magic users and witches cannot access the Earth, and astral regeneration is also prevented.

Meditation Room

Meditation Room

The air shifts as you step into the Meditationsraum, a haven of muted light and soft silence. Cushions and carpets stretch across the floor in vibrant yet soothing hues, their spiraling designs pulling at the edges of your focus. Large, golden mirrors reflect flickering candlelight, creating a dreamlike sense of endless space. In the room’s heart stands a delicate cage, housing two resplendent butterflies whose shimmering wings pulse with iridescent colors. They dance in languid spirals, their graceful movements captivating the eye, promising a journey beyond the physical plane. Around them, figures recline on cushions or sit cross-legged, their gazes locked on the radiant creatures as if they were portals to another world.

Praefurnium

Praefurnium

Access: Passage to the corridor, with a grille door leading to U2 (robust, simple lock, key with a heater). Lighting: Bright to dusk, due to the glowing furnace and ambient light from the fires. Temperature: Very hot, with the furnaces reaching Khômglut temperatures and burning charcoal to heat the water and air of the Therme. Features: Two powerful heating fires operate here, fueling the hot water and air systems throughout the Therme. The furnaces have large, metal gargoyle faces that serve as vents, with the heating flaps resembling the monstrous mouths of mythical creatures. Firewood is brought in via carts, and buckets of cold water are used to cool down the workers.

Private Cellar

Private Cellar

This private cellar has been rented by Zurbaran for the duration of the orgy, housing sensitive objects that provide insight into his background and darker dealings. Apart from furniture like a table, bed, armchair, mirror, Aranian wall and wardrobe, the room also contains: Wooden crates with slightly glowing blue mushroom cultures. The rat mushrooms are harvested by Sylvette, the sauce cook, to be used in a special soup designed to convert the orgy participants. A decorated, locked travel trunk: This holds a shrine dedicated to the Nameless One, which is actually a foldable altar. Inside, it features: A golden, faceless man in a lewd pose. Drawers containing: Candles and incense. A golden mask. A black-purple robe. Small canopic jars containing toes, fingers, and eyes in oil. A book in black leather titled The Thirteen Praises of the Nameless, which contains information on vampire vulnerabilities. A handwritten treatise on the Nameless Liturgies of Eternal Youth.

Reading Hall

Reading Hall

The library has been reimagined as a tranquil retreat for the festival, blending opulence and utility. Furnished with writing and reading desks, as well as niches for seating and reclining, it provides a serene environment amid the revelry. The walls boast stunning murals, depicting scenes of wisdom, discovery, and mystical harmony. At the heart of the room stands a magnificent statue of Hesinde, sculpted from green Raschtulswaller marble, renowned for its smooth texture and vibrant hue. This statue is not only a testament to the goddess of wisdom and magic but also the most distinguished representation of Hesinde in the entire Therme.

Scribes Chabers

Scribes Chabers

he air is still in this compact chamber, where order has long since given way to chaos. Piles of crumpled paper and ink-stained ledgers scatter across the desk like fallen leaves, the dim starlight peeking through the window casting jagged shadows. The faint scent of wax and parchment lingers, while a small Travian statue stands quietly in the corner, fresh offerings resting at its feet—a rare moment of reverence amid the disarray. Hanging from a rusted iron hook near the door is a keyring, the keys catching the faint light, promising access to secrets hidden within the ancient walls of the baths. Beneath a leaning stack of records lies a leather-bound tome, its weathered spine whispering of the building's history—clues from a time long past.

Silver Salon

Silver Salon

The Silberner Salon exudes refined elegance, its tulamidic decor transporting visitors to a realm of luxury and comfort. Plush chairs and divans are arranged for intimate gatherings, inviting guests to relax with a fine carafe of wine. Cabinets along the walls showcase treasures of opulence: delicate porcelain from Unau, shimmering silver plates, and polished silverware, all meticulously organized. A serene statue of Tsa, carved from luminous white Eternenmarmor, stands gracefully in one corner. Encircling the nearby chaise longue is a subtle yet purposeful ring of pink chalk powder—an anti-spirit ward of notable potency, offering its occupant protection and tranquil sleep even during the ominous Nameless Days.

Smoke Chambers

Smoke Chambers

Stepping into the Rauchsalon is like entering another world—a haze of fragrant smoke coils in the air, emanating from numerous brass incense bowls placed throughout the room. Dominating the space is a striking wooden statue of Levthan, his ruby eyes glinting faintly in the dim light, framed by provocative phallic sculptures and decadent furnishings. Luxurious divans and waterpipes invite indulgence, while shelves of exotic "toys" and devices hint at the hedonistic nature of this chamber. Chains, swings, and other implements dangle in the corners, shadows dancing across their surfaces. A belhankanische Wand—a peculiar structure riddled with waist-height openings—bisects the room, offering a secretive and risqué allure. Centrally, a glass orb faintly glows with a steady, weak red light, the sole remnant of a once-powerful magical creation.

Tepidarium

Tepidarium

The Tepidarium is a warm air bath that features water basins with benches in them, with the water rising to chest height. Guests can relax while enjoying fruit platters and water pipes. Two dice tables and a large camel game made from jasper are available for entertainment. For those who need to cool down, cold bucket showers with ice water are available, providing a refreshing contrast for visitors coming from the Sudatoriums.

The Juvenarium

The Juvenarium

The Juvenarium (U21) is a sacred, underground chamber dedicated to the ritual of eternal youth. With its thirteen-tiered structure, this space is filled with arcane items and dark symbols that support the rejuvenation process. At the heart of the room lies a massive cauldron where ritual sacrifices and the Elixir of Life are used to extend life. The water clocks, magical symbols, and rare artifacts within this chamber are part of a twisted occult ritual to maintain eternal youth and power. The hidden box containing Farathos’ first attempt at extracting life essence suggests the deep dark history and sacrificial nature of the rituals. This space is not only a hub of occult practices but also a symbol of corruption and endless striving for immortality. Centerpiece: In the middle of the room, surrounded by a water ring, stands a large Arkanium-coated cauldron on toad legs, large enough to hold half a dozen people. The cauldron features engraved depictions of aging and rejuvenating Achaz.

Vestibulum (Entrance Halls)

Vestibulum (Entrance Halls)

The entrance hall looms with a cold, sterile brightness. The scent of incense clings to the air, and heavy ram’s head banners hang from the walls, their eyes seeming to follow your every movement. The silence is oppressive, broken only by the quiet rustle of the tapestry that partially obscures a large, ominous inscription: Therma Vitae Aeterna. The bright, cool lighting casts long shadows against the stone pillars, where sharp eyes may spot cryptic markings. The place feels heavy with secrets—some waiting to be discovered, others perhaps best left untouched. As guests enter, the chill in the air seems to seep into their very bones, and despite the apparent welcome, a sense of unease lingers.

Vortragssaal

Vortragssaal

his room preserves much of its medicinal history, though its former prestige as a center for academic medicine has faded. The atmosphere is clinical, with tools and remnants of old practices still in use. A surgical table with a blood channel and a fixation chair are central features, surrounded by medical equipment such as bone drills, scalpels, clamps, and salve jars. A leech tub is prominently displayed, The most curious artifact is a mysterious therapy box, containing Borbaradmosquitos, used for traumatic memory erasure. It is advised not to open this contraption unless under expert supervision. Healing Supplies: 2x Healing Potion B. 1x Antidote D. 2x Sleep Potion C. 3x Wirsel Herb Salves. 3x Rohals Oil (anti-aging herb oil). A basket of 3W6 fresh Einberries (natural medicinal berries). Raschtulswaller smelling salts (mental clarity).

Wood Storage

Wood Storage

(Wood Storage) Access: Grille door leading from U1 (robust, simple lock, key with a heater). Lighting: Dusk-like lighting due to the storage's location and surroundings. Temperature: Hot, as it is adjacent to the furnace area. Features: The storage contains 30 paces of dry spruce wood. There is also a Firunsföhre tree's wood (distinct from spruce wood via a Botany test), which is being slowly consumed by Borklinge (minor earth spirits). These spirits cause excessive sparks and embers when the wood is thrown into the fire, adding to the blaze's intensity. Activities: Heaters regularly collect firewood from this storage. Vampir-Gegenmittel (Vampire Anti-Magic): Spruce wood is ineffective as a stake. However, the Firunsföhre wood (incorrectly delivered) is powerful and, when carved into a stake, is destructive against vampires. A Borklinge can only slowly disintegrate, staring at someone who destroys its "home" with an open mouth.
