Lighting: Twilight or moonlight during the jungle night. Temperature: Warm. Features: The room is designed to resemble a natural grotto. The staircase ends directly in a hip-deep water basin, which occupies most of the space. Visitors can press into rock niches, sit on benches in the water with a wine cup, or lie down and admire the ceiling, which is decorated with numerous rock carvings.. On the stage is a mohican jungle village setting, complete with a cannibal cooking pot. Vines, ferns, and potted flowers with colorful, head-sized blooms reinforce the jungle atmosphere. Paintings on wall tiles depict the Mohavölker (tribes) as created by Kamaluq. The golden bust of Emperor Bardo, smiling patronizingly at the viewer, feels out of place in the otherwise Meridiana jungle setting. This grotto is a central component of Bardo’s echsian rejuvenation device, which leads to the secret Juvenarium (U21). It serves as a recruitment ground for victims.
