Description
Vaal Hazak is a solitary Elder Dragon known for its life-sapping miasma, the Effluvium, which it uses to weaken and drain the life force of its prey. With a unique double lower jaw and a body covered in silver scales obscured by a fleshy red veil, it is a fearsome predator that fiercely defends its territory.

Charge
Vaal Hazak can move up to its speed in a straight line and make a melee attack against a creature in its path. If it moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a bite attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 14 (4d6) slashing damage.
Effluvium Breath
Vaal Hazak exhales a concentrated stream of Effluvium in a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Life Drain
Vaal Hazak targets one creature it can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 36 (8d8) necrotic damage, and Vaal Hazak regains hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
Miasma Cloud
Vaal Hazak releases a noxious cloud of Effluvium in a 30-foot radius centered on itself. Creatures in that area must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. A poisoned creature takes 10 (3d6) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns.
