The Lands Between

M
Muttboy

The world of Elden Ring, a hauntingly beautiful yet desolate land of gold that is scarred from war.

Author's Note: Still have a ton of work to do -Still trying to figure out how to work casting into classes. -Slowly adding items, monsters, and NPCs -All 307 base game weapons and 171 base game spells added. added, they will still require balancing but waiting for the combat overhaul before I dig too deeply into that. See the following document for homebrew rules specific to this world. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t7MkfUj7CvzkERJoJGxCYYEd5H6lBEml9pYQl9rHUUY/edit?usp=drivesdk

Troll

Trolls are descendants of the Giants[1], who betrayed their ancestors during the war against the Giants[2] and fought on behalf of the Erdtree.[3] They can be found throughout the Lands Between, often fighting on behalf of various armies and factions. They have broad torsos, with cavities in their chests exposing growths akin to roots or branches, which conceal stone stabs that were seemingly embedded into them.

Albinauric
Custom

Albinauric

First-generation Albinaurics creatures that are made by human hands. The circumstances of their creation has caused many to believe they live impure lives untouched by the Erdtree's grace. The first-generation are unique in that they are unable to walk. Once their legs completely fade, they simply perish. To compensate for this, many have decided to master glintstone sorceries, using their innate arcane nature to cast spells.

God

Gods are the most powerful beings in the Lands Between. Those with the potential to become gods are known as Empyreans. Normally selected by strange entities known as the two fingers. Queen Marika is the Sovereign God of the lands between who is the mother to all of the current Demigods. They speak on archaic dictation, thee/thou.

Shadowbound Beast

Shadowbound Beasts also known as Shadows, are lupine half-beasts often tailored to serve Empyreans, individuals capable of becoming gods. Certain Empyreans are granted their own shadow by the Two Fingers, vassals of the Greater Will. Shadowbound Beasts are loyal to their Empyrean, however, should their Empyrean reject the path presented by the Two Fingers, the shadow will go mad, and become a terrible curse known as a Baleful Shadow.

Nomad

Nomad

The nomads once thrived as the Great Caravan, whom after being accused of heretical beliefs, the entire clan was rounded up and buried alive in the depths of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, beneath even the accursed omens. Through their suffocating, claustrophobic isolation they chanted curses of despair against the Golden Order and summoned the outer god, The Flame of Frenzy. Some still exist peddling their wares as traveling merchants while secretly worshipping the Frenzied Flame.

Living Jar

Living Jar

Though the jars are brought to life by human flesh and blood, they are all rather kindly folk. Perhaps they were made to be better than their innards. Their fragments command a high price due to the magical power locked within. This leaves the living jars unfortunate targets for poachers.

Demi-Human

Demi-Human

Demi-Humans are small in stature, but they have a violent, brutish disposition. Though they seem somewhat intelligent, when night falls, their blood boils and they become feral.

Misbegotten

Misbegotten

The misbegotten are held to be a punishment for making contact with the Crucible, and from birth they are treated as slaves, or worse. The Misbegotten are malformed beings that exhibit characteristics of different types of animals, often possessing tails, horns, scales, and wings.

Grace Given Human

Individuals in the Lands Between that have been blessed by the grace of gold. A blessing that comes from the erdtree and elden ring. They are identifiable by their golden eyes. They have a tendency to look down on tarnished as lesser beings.

Numen
Custom

Numen

The face of the Numen, supposed descendants of denizens of another world. Long-lived but seldom born. The Numen are said to have come from outside the Lands Between from a place known only as 'the lands of the Numen', and are in fact the same stock as Queen Marika herself. The Black Knife Assassins who murdered Godwyn the Golden during the Night of Black Knives were all women rumored to be Numen who had close ties to Queen Marika, as well as scions of the Eternal City.

Demigod
Custom

Demigod

The Lands Between are ruled by a family of demigods, heroes with an especially powerful blessing received from the blood of Queen Marika the Eternal. They are immortals due to their fated deaths being removed from the Elden Ring when Queen Marika created the Golden Order by sealing the Rune of Death.

Tarnished

Tarnished

The Tarnished are individuals that had lost the grace of the Erdtree and were consequently banished from the Lands Between by Queen Marika the Eternal. Queen Marika addressed Godfrey and his warriors as she divested them of their Grace, commanding them to leave the Lands Between and travel to a faraway land, where they would wage war and die. Before they departed, she promised them that after their deaths their Grace would be given back, and that they would return to the Lands Between once again
