Description

South of Camlorn, nestled between the low hill spurs of the Cambary region and the upper forks of the Bjoulsae River, sprawls the Harthwood—a shadowed, age-worn forest where the canopy thickens into a vault of green and gold. Once part of a broader sylvan belt that stretched deep into the Western Reach, the Harthwood is now hemmed by farmland and watchtowers, yet it remains largely untamed and richly mysterious. Towering oaks draped in hanging moss dominate its northern reaches, while deeper within, the underbrush thickens with spindlethorn, myrkwort, and the glossy-leaved heart’s-blood fern prized by alchemists. The forest floor is littered with tumbled stone from ancient walls and sunken glades, hinting at lost settlements or watchposts abandoned after the Camlorn Quake of 2E 456.
