Natsume’s body was cursed with an ancient magic, a curse that slowly weakened her physically, making her a fragile shell of her former self. She managed to escape the laboratory during an outbreak of chaos, running deep into the woods, but the curse made it impossible to evade the pursuit of the mages. Eventually, she was caught by a band of merciless bandits. Despite her weakened state, Natsume fought fiercely, using the little strength she had to protect herself. However, she was ultimately subdued and sold into slavery.
