World of Redemption

S
Steffany686

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Author's Note: Set within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, all major characters are available. Be sure to check the World History area in the bottom right of the world map. Look for Class Loadouts in "The Closet" POI, and give yourself a copy of that inventory to start your journey. This world features working train systems, and if you @ the train system you want to use, you can then ask Franz to ride them. More information is available in the World History area. Description

Cumberland Forest is a vast, rugged forest located in the highlands of New Hanover. The region is marked by its steep, rocky terrain, dense woodlands, and the significant presence of the local mining industry centered around the desolate town of Annesburg. The forest's natural beauty is frequently overshadowed by the consequences of coal mining, with polluted waterways and scarred landscapes serving as a testament to the ongoing conflict between nature and industry. Danger Rating: 8/10 This forest is dangerous. The rugged terrain is home to predators like cougars, wolves, and bears. It is also the primary territory of the O'Driscolls, an outlaw gang from Ireland. With the wildlife and the O'Driscolls, the forest is a lethal trap. Native Plants: - English Mace - Ginseng - Wintergreen Berry - Yarrow Wildlife: - Black Bear - Cougar - Coyote - Deer - Elk - Moose - Snake - Wolf

Appearance

Cumberland Forest showcases dense pine and fir trees on steep hillsides. The undergrowth and exposed rock complicate travel. A thick canopy creates gloom, while the air carries the scent of pine and coal smoke from Annesburg. The forest's beauty is often marred by gray, polluted creeks and an industrial atmosphere.
