In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.


Author's Note: Set within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, all major characters are available. Be sure to check the World History area in the bottom right of the world map. Look for Class Loadouts in "The Closet" POI, and give yourself a copy of that inventory to start your journey. Description

Black Balsam Rise is a small, elevated, and densely forested area within the Roanoke Ridge region of New Hanover. This rugged highland features thick tree cover and uneven terrain, creating a secluded and shadowy environment often used by those seeking to avoid detection. Danger Rating: 8/10 This region is highly dangerous. Its dense woodlands provide excellent cover for numerous predators, including black bears, cougars, panthers, and wolves. More importantly, Black Balsam Rise lies squarely within the territory of the savage Murfree Brood gang, known for their brutal ambushes and extreme hostility towards outsiders. Appearance

Dominated by tall, tightly packed oaks and pines, Black Balsam Rise features a thick, gloomy canopy. The uneven forest floor is covered in leaf litter, rocks, and dense undergrowth, with sunlight struggling to penetrate the foliage, creating a foreboding atmosphere filled with the cool scent of damp earth and pine.
