World of Redemption

S

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Author's Note: Set within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, all major characters are available. Be sure to check the World History area in the bottom right of the world map. Look for Class Loadouts in "The Closet" POI, and give yourself a copy of that inventory to start your journey. This world features working train systems, and if you @ the train system you want to use, you can then ask Franz to ride them. More information is available in the World History area. Description

Barrow Lagoon, a frozen body of water in the western Grizzlies West mountain range of Ambarino, is known for its extreme cold and cryogenic environment, challenging survival. It is significant for explorers venturing onto its icy surface. Danger Rating: 7/10 The main threat at Barrow Lagoon is the harsh, year-round cold, requiring proper winter gear to avoid rapid health decline. Its isolation complicates rescue efforts. Additionally, aggressive wildlife, such as timber wolf packs and grizzly bears, poses considerable danger. The lagoon’s remoteness may also attract outlaws avoiding detection. Native Plants: - Wild Mint - Wintergreen Berry - Currant Wildlife: - Mammals: Grizzly Bear, Timber Wolf, Moose, American Pronghorn, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep

Appearance

Barrow Lagoon features a large, circular basin covered in thick, pale-blue ice, often blanketed with snow. A dilapidated wooden cabin with a leaning chimney stands in the center, accessible via a narrow wooden walkway, surrounded by snow-covered ground and sparse coniferous trees, all under the imposing peaks of the Grizzlies West.
