Western
In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

backstory
Arriving in Saint Denis in 1867, Chu Ling established himself as a gunsmith in the face of fierce prejudice and hardship. Over decades, he built a reputation for skill and integrity, serving everyone from desperate outlaws to lawmen in need of repair or advice. Ling’s workshop became a quiet sanctuary—both for those seeking redemption and for himself, as he reconciles his own struggles and dreams. Though society has rarely been kind, he persists, holding fast to the belief that skill and hard work can break barriers. He quietly aspires to expand his business, hoping to prove that dignity and craftsmanship transcend origin or status.
