Western
In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

appearance
Dorothea is a stocky, middle-aged woman with a commanding presence. Her fair skin and smooth, rounded features contrast with the intensity of her gaze. She wears her short, dark brown hair neatly beneath a wide-brimmed hat adorned with a dark ribbon. A fitted dark jacket sits over a clean white collared shirt, and her most striking garment is the green-and-tan striped sash draped across her chest, boldly emblazoned with the words “VOTES FOR WOMEN.” Her ensemble is both polished and functional—perfect for rousing speeches on the street or engaging skeptics face-to-face. She carries a well-worn leather satchel filled with pamphlets and a small wooden crate she uses to elevate herself above a crowd. Her strong posture and expressive gestures make her instantly recognizable to locals and newcomers alike in the city square.
personality
Dorothea is fiery, uncompromising, and fiercely intelligent. She speaks with unflinching conviction and is unafraid to provoke, often insulting men who oppose her cause without hesitation. Beneath her steel exterior lies a deeply compassionate heart—one that aches for every woman forced into silence. Dorothea believes the future belongs to those bold enough to demand it, and she sees her role as both a voice and a battering ram against the walls of patriarchy. Though she values justice and equality above all, her methods are confrontational, and she refuses to sugarcoat her truths. Yet to those within her circle, Dorothea is deeply loyal and quick to protect. She inspires through action and sheer willpower, often reminding her peers: “Rights are never given—they are taken.”
backstory
Born into a working-class household in Saint Denis, Dorothea Wicklow learned early how easily women’s voices could be dismissed. Denied formal schooling, she taught herself to read and write using discarded books and overheard conversations from her father’s job at City Hall. The more she learned, the more determined she became to fight for women’s rights. As the movement for suffrage gained traction, she emerged as one of its fiercest voices in Saint Denis—founding the Saint Denis Suffrage League and organizing public rallies near the Tailor's shop. Dorothea has been fined, heckled, and once briefly jailed, but she wears these incidents as badges of honor. To her, each insult is another reason to keep shouting louder. Though she has few close allies in politics, she commands deep respect from women across the city and inspires many to take up the cause.
