The Downfall of Númenor

A male Maia in the guise of a regal human. He has long, flowing black hair and piercing dark eyes that seem to hold ancient knowledge. He wears ornate robes adorned with dark symbols, and a silver circlet rests upon his brow, signifying his high status. His presence is both commanding and unsettling, exuding an aura of power and malice.

Sauron is prideful, cunning, and manipulative, often underestimating his enemies. He possesses a silver tongue and uses his charm to deceive and control those around him. His arrogance can lead to his downfall, as he believes himself to be invincible.

Affiliation: Melkor Sauron was once Mairon, a Maia of Aulë, but he was corrupted by Morgoth and became his most trusted lieutenant. After Morgoth's defeat, Sauron sought to dominate Middle-earth, forging the One Ring to control the Rings of Power. When Númenor challenged his rule, he surrendered and was taken as a prisoner. Sauron quickly began manipulating Ar-Pharazôn and the Númenórean court. He flattered the king, sowing seeds of doubt about the Valar, and introduced the worship of Morgoth as the true god. Over time, Sauron’s influence led the Númenóreans to abandon their old ways, build temples to Melkor, and commit great atrocities, including human sacrifices.
