Ar-Pharazôn is prideful, ambitious, and ruthless. He is driven by a desire for power and is easily swayed by flattery, which ultimately leads to his downfall. His desperation in the face of mortality makes him dangerous and unpredictable.

Affiliation: King's Men, Sauron Ar-Pharazôn was a proud and ambitious Númenórean prince, the son of Gimilkhâd and nephew of King Tar-Palantir. Raised among the King’s Men, he rejected the Faithful’s reverence for the Valar and resented Númenor’s mortality. A great warrior and commander, he won glory in campaigns in Middle-earth, amassing wealth and prestige. When his uncle died, Ar-Pharazôn defied tradition by seizing the throne, forcing his cousin Míriel (Ar-Zimraphel) into marriage. Under his rule, Númenor reached the height of its power but also fell into darkness. A proud and ambitious ruler, he sought to expand Númenor’s power and sailed to Middle-earth, where he captured Sauron and brought him back as a prisoner. Sauron, through cunning persuasion, corrupted the king, leading him to worship Morgoth and seek immortality. Languages: Adûnaic
