Elendil, known as "Elendil the Tall," is a lord of the Faithful, the Númenóreans who remained loyal to the Valar and rejected Sauron’s corruption. He is the son of Amandil, the Lord of Andúnië, and inherited his father’s wisdom, noble bearing, and devotion to the old ways. Unlike the King’s Men, Elendil and his followers seek to preserve Númenor’s ancient traditions and friendship with the Elves. He witnessed the rise of Sauron and the corruption of his people, which fueled his resolve to protect the Faithful and preserve their legacy.
