Description

The Tainted Scar is a small region in the western Blasted Lands, corrupted for years by the energies of the Dark Portal. Following the Third War, it has become the demonic domain of Lord Kazzak. Once part of the Black Morass, the Tainted Scar was ravaged by fel corruption emanating from the Dark Portal. The land became a scorched wasteland of cracked, crimson earth, devoid of water or life, and infested with demonic entities. In the aftermath of the Third War, the Ered'ruin lord Kazzak, leading remnants of the Burning Legion, claimed the scar as a staging ground. He appointed his dread lieutenant, Razelikh the Defiler, to fortify the region. By Year 25 ADP, the Scar remained a stronghold of Legion forces, drawing the attention of both Horde and Alliance adventurers. Amidst the chaos, the decrepit warlock Daio took residence at a profane altar within the Scar, conducting infernal rituals and training new acolytes in dark sorcery.
