Nestled in the snowy crags of Dun Morogh, Kharanos stands as the second-largest settlement in the region after Ironforge. Encircled by stout stone walls and framed by steep-roofed timber buildings, this dwarven town offers safety from the wild creatures that roam the frost-covered wilderness. Its hardy inhabitants are skilled marksmen, known for felling timber wolves with precision-crafted rifles. Despite its modest size, Kharanos bustles with life. The Thunderbrew Distillery serves world-renowned ale, while a local forge and gnomish workshop keep adventurers well-equipped. Many townsfolk, hire passing travelers for aid Yet Kharanos is no mere outpost—it is a vital military staging ground. Recruits from Anvilmar gather here before venturing forth. The town defends against threats like the Frostmane trolls of Shimmer Ridge and the wendigo lurking in nearby caves. Legend speaks of Lazlo Grindwidget, who once saved Kharanos from a monstrous troll, securing his place as a local hero.
