Description

Dun Modr is a fortified, mid-sized dwarven town located south of Thandol Span in the Wetlands. Its northern ruins are now occupied by hostile Dark Iron dwarves, who claim the city and kill all intruders. Historically strategic, Dun Modr was a key battleground during the Second War. The Horde used it as a staging area, but Alliance forces from Tol Barad recaptured it after heavy fighting. Although the Horde briefly regained control, the Alliance ultimately held the ruins. Over time, while dwarves fought abroad, Dark Irons attacked at home, destroying Thandol Span and capturing southern Dun Modr. Recently, with the Alliance forces withdrawn, both the Span and Dun Modr have fallen to the Dark Iron dwarves.
