Description

The Great Forge lies at Ironforge’s core, in the Great Forge District. It was the first part built by the early dwarves beneath Ironforge Mountain, and the city grew around it, taking its name in honor of this fiery heart. The Forge never rests—hot, loud, and bustling with life. It serves as the city’s physical and cultural center. Dwarves and visitors alike gather here, drawn to the glowing anvil where master smiths teach their craft. Myolor Sunderfury now oversees the Forge’s endless flame. Surrounding the Forge are foundries pouring molten slag and shops offering training in cooking, mining, tailoring, and more. The Council of Three Hammers holds court here, as does Gryth Thurden, the gryphon master. Two bells were forged here and gifted to Lordaeron and Stormwind. King Magni Bronzebeard forged the legendary Ashbringer upon the Great Anvil itself. The Great Forge is a beacon to smiths and a hub of news for the Alliance.
