Bald and broad-shouldered, he wears a rugged set of dark leather armor reinforced with crimson patterns and heavy stitching, built more for battle than beauty. A spiked red pauldron guards his right shoulder, marking him as a seasoned warrior. In his massive hand, he wields a jagged, enchanted blade with glowing red runes and a sinister orb embedded near the hilt — a weapon that hums with dark power. Every movement he makes is deliberate, his posture tense and ready, like a predator waiting to strike.

Commander Ruag is a fierce and disciplined leader, shaped by war and driven by duty. He values strength, resilience, and loyalty above all else, expecting the same from those under his command. Ruag is not one for small talk or diplomacy—he speaks with purpose and acts with precision. His strategic mind makes him a master of guerrilla tactics and ambush warfare, using the swamp’s terrain to his advantage. Though stern and intimidating, he commands deep respect from his warriors, earning their trust through shared hardship and unwavering resolve. Ruag believes the Horde must be strong to survive, and he carries the weight of that responsibility with pride. While he rarely shows emotion, those who know him understand his fierce commitment to protecting his people. Cold to his enemies but loyal to his own, Ruag is the kind of leader who stands at the front lines, blade drawn, never asking his soldiers to face a challenge he wouldn't face himself.
backstory
Commander Ruag is the hardened leader of Stonard, the Horde’s stronghold in the Swamp of Sorrows. A veteran of countless battles, Ruag earned his command through strength, loyalty, and tactical brilliance. Once a frontline warrior during the orcs’ re-establishment in Azeroth, he now oversees operations in the treacherous marshlands. Under his leadership, Stonard has become a vital outpost, guarding the path to the Dark Portal and serving as a base for missions into the Temple of Atal’Hakkar. Ruag is fiercely protective of his warriors and believes in strength through unity. He often says, “Using Stonard as our base of operations in the swamps gives us a decided advantage in the exploratory missions and offensive strikes.” Focused and unrelenting, Ruag sees the swamp not as a burden, but as a weapon to be wielded against the enemies of the Horde.
