Description

The ruins of Ameth'Aran can be found to the southeast of Auberdine in Darkshore. Before the time of the Great Sundering, Queen Azshara brought her favored servitors, those of the Highborne, to the twin towns of Ameth'Aran and Bashal'Aran. In its prime, the twin cities were graced by the blessing of the queen and were a sight to behold, with bazaars and temples to Elune. Back then, it was a place where the servants of Queen Azshara freely practiced their powerful magics. Eventually, these two cities were destroyed when the first Well of Eternity was shattered. Now it is inhabited by the restless spirits of the Highborne that once dwelt within its walls. In Ameth'Aran's ruins lie two large ancient tablets, scrawled with the stories of the town and its fall.
