Description

Blackrock Mountain, a towering volcano between the Searing Gorge and the Burning Steppes, is a scar upon the land born from ancient conflict. It rose when the Dark Iron dwarves, led by Emperor Thaurissan, inadvertently summoned Ragnaros the Firelord, unleashing a cataclysm that shattered the Redridge Mountains. Within its depths, rival forces have long vied for dominance—Ragnaros and his fiery minions below, Nefarian and his black dragonflight above. Once a dwarven stronghold, the mountain became a battleground for orcs, dragons, and elemental forces. Blackrock Spire served as the Horde’s stronghold during the Second War and later became home to the Dark Horde. Today, the mountain remains a crucible of elemental fury, dragonic schemes, and ancient grudges—one of the most dangerous places in Azeroth.
