Aethelgard is a world woven from the remnants of a shattered moon. Magic bleeds into the land.

Author's Note: Civilizations cling to life in the more stable regions, wary of the wild magic that reshapes the landscape and twists creatures into bizarre forms. The shattered moon, known as the shards of Aethel, hang visibly in the sky, a constant reminder of catacylsm and a source of both wonder and fear. This world is a work in Progress

Description

A benevolent guardian, its presence a symbol of peace and protection for the ancient pyramid. It patrols the surrounding desert, its movements slow and deliberate, its senses attuned to any disturbance in the tranquility of the sands. Though it possesses immense power, it rarely intervenes in the affairs of mortals, preferring to observe and protect from afar. Only when faced with a threat that endangers the delicate balance of the desert or the sanctity of the pyramid does the Zion Sphinx awaken, its presence a formidable deterrent to any would-be aggressor.
