Governed by the esteemed House Ordelia, this region has been both a cradle of prodigious talent and a theater of political upheaval. In the Imperial Year 1167, under Count Ordelia, the county became entangled in a pivotal insurrection. House Hrym, a noble family within the Adrestian Empire, sought to align with the Leicester Alliance, opposing the Emperor's policies. Count Ordelia extended support to this defection, a move that, upon the rebellion's suppression by Imperial forces, invited severe repercussions. The Empire imposed measures upon House Ordelia, including the installation of Adrestian officials within the county's governance. Among these officials were clandestine operatives of the faction known as "those who slither in the dark." Their insidious presence led to inhumane experiments on the county's youth, notably subjecting Lysithea von Ordelia, the Count's eldest daughter, to harrowing trials that bestowed upon her dual Crests—a rare and perilous condition.
