appearance
Naffer Vosk is a hunched, skeletal man with pale, sickly skin that clings to his bones. His face is gaunt and hollow, with sunken eyes that gleam with a mix of sadness and hope. His stringy, unkempt hair hangs limply around his face, giving him a haunted appearance.
He wears simple, tattered robes of gold and white, symbolizing his humble devotion to Sarenrae. A small sunburst amulet rests against his chest, reflecting his faith. His back is twisted and hunched, causing him to walk with a limp and lean on a wooden staff for support. Despite his frail appearance, his eyes carry a quiet determination, reflecting his loyalty to Father Zantus and his gratitude for being given a second chance in Sandpoint.
personality
Naffer Vosk is humble, quiet, and deeply devout, with a solemn demeanor that reflects his past regrets. He is meticulous and diligent, taking pride in his work at the Boneyard and his duty to ring the church bells. Despite his haunting appearance, he is compassionate and kind, always ready to listen and offer comfort. Naffer is reserved and introspective, speaking little but observing much. His faith in Sarenrae gives him strength and purpose, guiding his every action with humility and devotion.
backstory
Naffer Vosk was once a smuggler, living a life of crime until his ship wrecked north of Sandpoint a decade ago. Left broken and hopeless, he was saved by Father Tobyn, who took pity on him despite his past.
Moved by Father Tobyn’s compassion, Naffer embraced Sarenrae’s teachings of redemption and dedicated his life to serving Sandpoint. He became the keeper of the Boneyard, maintaining the graves with meticulous care and ringing the church bells at dawn, noon, and dusk.
Though his twisted spine gives him a sinister lurching gait, Naffer is one of Sandpoint’s most devout citizens, quietly atoning for his past sins through faith and humble service.
