He finds the study of ancient Thassilon to be particularly intriguing, and it was his research into Sandpoint's Old Light that originally brought him to the area.
backstory
Brodert Quink, a brilliant but abrasive scholar, was born in Westcrown and apprenticed as a bookbinder. A rare tome on Thassilonian history ignited his obsession, leading him to flee to Sothis, where he learned Ancient Osiriani and worked as a document translator for Khemet II’s court. After a decade of research, he traveled to Varisia to study ancient ruins, eventually settling in Sandpoint to investigate the Old Light. However, his arrogance and Chelaxian supremacist views have alienated the locals, leaving him isolated and frustrated as he struggles to continue his research.
