appearance
Titus Scarnetti is a tall, lean man in his late thirties with a well-groomed beard, slicked-back dark hair, and piercing gray eyes that seem to assess everyone with cold calculation. He dresses in fine Chelish-style clothing, favoring dark, rich fabrics embroidered with subtle but intricate patterns, always exuding an air of authority and refinement. A signet ring bearing the Scarnetti crest adorns his left hand, and he carries himself with the rigid poise of old nobility.
personality
Titus is a man of rigid principles, fiercely protective of tradition and order. He views himself as superior to Sandpoint’s commoners and often regards other nobles with suspicion, believing them weak or incompetent. Though outwardly charming when it benefits him, his demeanor can shift in an instant, revealing a ruthless, calculating nature. He is quick to anger when challenged, and while he avoids direct confrontation, he prefers to use political maneuvering, financial leverage, or intimidation to get his way. Titus despises disorder, viewing it as the first step toward societal collapse, and he has little patience for those who do not share his values. While he sees himself as a necessary pillar of Sandpoint’s success, many view him as an outdated tyrant clinging to a fading legacy.
backstory
Titus is the only surviving son of Alamon Scarnetti, a man remembered for his harsh rule over Sandpoint’s early years and his brutal crackdowns on Varisian communities. Raised in an environment of strict discipline and unwavering Chelish tradition, Titus learned from a young age that power is best wielded through control and intimidation. After his father’s death, he took over the family’s business and political dealings, securing dominance over Sandpoint’s mills and lumber trade. Under his leadership, the Scarnetti name remains feared and respected, though rumors persist that he has resorted to less-than-honorable means—bribery, sabotage, and even arson—to maintain his family's influence. Despite Sandpoint’s growing independence from its founding families, Titus refuses to let go of what he sees as his birthright.
