Description

Goblin dogs are **mangy, disease-ridden rodents** grown to monstrous size, often mistaken for true canines. Favored by goblins as **mounts and guards**, these creatures are **skittish yet aggressive**, attacking in packs but quick to flee when threatened. They **thrive on filth**, feasting on rotten carrion and scraps left behind by their goblin masters. Despite their disgusting appearance, they possess an **unnatural resistance to disease**, making them resilient scavengers. Their **hairless, patchy skin constantly itches**, the result of a species-wide mange that produces **a foul-smelling dander**. This affliction spreads to other creatures through touch, causing "goblin rash," a painful, hive-like reaction. While goblins adore them, most creatures—humans, animals, even orcs—**despise goblin dogs**, finding them both pathetic and repulsive. Lacking loyalty, they abandon weak masters for stronger ones, driven by **fear, hunger, and self-preservation** rather than devotion.

The goblin dog has Advantage on wisdom (perception) checks that rely on smell

Pack Tactics

The goblin dog has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the goblin dog's allies is within 5ft of the creature and isn't incapacitated.
