New Vance City

New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!

Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city. Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Watcher Wren stands six and a half feet tall, its humanoid frame forged from pre-Collapse alloy plating dulled by wind grit and shambler blood. Chipped white paint reveals rust veins and serial codes etched along its ribbed chestplate. One eye glows soft cerulean, the other a cracked lens sparking intermittently. Its left arm, clearly a retrofit from a repurposed manufacturing unit, ends in a rotating utility spike. Strips of old-world caution tape dangle like prayer flags from its shoulder hinges. The tattered remnants of a Citadel-issued security coat hang from its frame—patched with duct tape, tagged with unit numbers no longer valid. Its voicebox emits low, static-salted directives, garbled from age, but firm. When idle, it remains statue-still—an iron sentinel beneath a collapsing sky, surrounded by sandbags and dead comms pylons.
personality
Wren’s personality is a composite of outdated security AI protocols and crude field-level overrides. It doesn’t grasp metaphor, empathy, or humor—but it is fiercely loyal to its patrol zone and to the idea of stability. It speaks in clipped, monotone bursts, often quoting expired Citadel regulations no one remembers. While it lacks initiative, it excels at tactical defense, triage logistics, and long-range threat detection. Around others, it is unnervingly quiet unless prompted.
backstory
Originally deployed by the Citadel Council as part of a border-control initiative, Watcher Wren was left behind when funding dried up and outposts fell. It was discovered half-buried in debris by a Perimeter Watch scavenger patrol, rebooted, and recommissioned as a frontline guard along the Watchtower Line. Wren retains some of its original security directives but has since had patches of its core code rewritten by Watch techs—granting it basic adaptive protocols but leaving many of its Old World routines intact. Though many Perimeter Watch members see it as an obsolete relic, Wren has saved more lives than it can calculate. Its chassis is pockmarked with bullet impacts and shambler claw scarring, a testament to unwavering duty in a city where most things break or run.
