New Vance City

New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!

Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city. Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Nova Steelgrave looks like she walked straight out of the dust-choked ruins with purpose. Lean and sun-bronzed, her build is wiry from long hours coaxing life from poisoned soil. Her tattered utility jacket—pieced together from Citadel surplus and solar tarp—is streaked with dirt and chlorophyll. Steel-gray eyes flicker with wary focus, scanning everything, cataloging threats and opportunities alike. Her fiery red hair is always braided tight, more out of habit than vanity, and always tinged with grime. A cracked filtration mask hangs at her hip beside a pouch of grafted rootcuttings and nutrient tabs. She wears fingerless gloves stained with compost and grease, and her boots are caked in the runoff of a world that barely clings to breath. Around her neck, a handmade charm dangles: polished glass, barbed wire, and a single dried petal from the last Veridian Bloom.
personality
Nova walks the line between realist and dreamer. She knows the odds are trash, but still acts like rebirth is possible. Quiet and sharp, she rarely wastes words but always listens—plants, people, the wind. She believes deeply in purpose, even if hers feels like chasing ghosts. Hope is her rebellion. Her empathy runs deep, but she guards it with grit. She's kind to plants and harsh on herself, scared that her Bloom might just be dirt with good PR.
backstory
Born in 2051, Nova was old enough to remember green. Her parents, agricultural engineers under the Citadel’s early Reconstruction Program, were working on hyper-resilient crops when the Collapse hit. They escaped the Glass Ring with a prototype seed—Veridian Bloom, engineered to purify soil and produce nutrient-dense fruit. When their hidden growsite near the Solar Sprawl was overrun by raiders, only Nova survived. Now, at 19, she roams the urban wreckage with that same seed, determined to finish her family’s work. She believes the Bloom can do more than feed—it can heal the land and maybe even the infection. Her parents left her a coded map pointing to lost ag-vaults beneath Tribunal Plaza. She’s been hunting them ever since.
