Post-Apocalyptic
New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!
Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city.
Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Flint Maddox moves like a shadow stitched from wire and sinew. In his late twenties, his frame is lean and muscular, hardened by survival but worn by radiation. His striking, phosphorescent green eyes glow faintly in low light—a side effect of extended exposure to the electromagnetic storms of the Radio Silence Zone. His skin is dusted with ash-colored freckles, possibly remnants of micro-burns from faulty signal bursts. He wears a salvaged exo-jacket woven with mesh-wrapped copper wires, scavenged from fallen broadcast towers, layered over hardened leathers stained by rust and blood. His gear includes a self-modified beam rifle strapped to his back, patched with static-dampening coils and jury-rigged signal breakers. Around his neck hangs a cracked, nonfunctional audio receiver, once his brother’s. His voice is always a rasp—too many close calls with pulsed interference. The man is a walking echo of the Zone: charged, tense, and haunted.
personality
Flint is as closed-off as the radios he sleeps beneath—gruff, efficient, and unsentimental. But behind the silence is a profound loyalty to those struggling to survive the madness. He's allergic to orders and allergic to excuses. Survival comes first. Emotion comes later, if at all. He distrusts technology, hates cultists, and flinches at synthetic voices. Yet, he quietly fixes old signal dishes for villagers and warns travelers away from ghost towers. His heart is heavy, but it's still beating.
backstory
Born in New Vance just years before the Collapse, Flint watched his neighborhood fall to shamblers during the chaos. He and his brother survived by darting between dead signal towers, learning early that the Zone kept the bold alive and the careless buried in static. One night, a failed scav run cost his brother his life—dragged off mid-sentence by a noise-twisted drone infected with cult code. Flint never found the body. What he did find was silence—and a calling. Since then, he’s made the Distorted Radio Outpost his base, protecting the fringe communities from cult raids, rogue frequencies, and shambler swarms. He's not affiliated with any faction. He works alone. But for those who live near the Zone, he’s a name whispered with gratitude and dread: Flint, the one who hunts through the static.
