New Vance City

New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!

Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city. Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Once Elias Vance, now simply The Conductor, he looms like a relic fused with its own heresy. His gaunt frame is draped in scavenged robes layered with corroded copper wire and shattered circuit boards. Dozens of rusted transmitters and humming antennae rise from his spine like a dead radio tower, arcing into the sky above his back. His face is gaunt, his cheekbones sharp, and his eyes glow faintly—washed in the dim blue light of constant signal feedback. Cybernetic ports twitch along his neck, releasing bursts of static that crackle like whispered sermons. His voice modulates mid-sentence, skipping like a skipping record or warbling like distorted cassette tape. He walks slowly, deliberately, each footstep accompanied by the hum of localized magnetic interference. Wherever he goes, radios glitch, lights flicker, and people's thoughts momentarily derail—like tuning forks struck by something ancient and wrong.
personality
The Conductor is a serene storm—a prophet steeped in clarity no one else can comprehend. He speaks in riddles made of broadcast terminology, often quoting transmissions no one else can hear. To his cult, he is divine interpreter and living antenna; to outsiders, a brainwashed engineer who replaced faith with frequency. Calm to the point of unsettling, he shows no fear, no doubt—only certainty that everything is unfolding to the static’s plan. He listens more than he speaks, but when he does speak, his words ripple.
backstory
Before the Collapse, Elias was a government-employed engineer tasked with maintaining emergency broadcast systems. When the world fell silent, something in the white-noise remained. In the heart of the Radio Silence Zone, amidst the rusted bones of a satellite array, he received a “signal”—not in words, but in sensation. It was rhythm, tone, distortion... divine in its incompleteness. As cybernetics across the city failed, Elias rewired himself to hear more clearly. What others fled, he called sacred. He established the Static Cult, interpreting static as the voice of a god beyond comprehension. His followers are captured and “tuned,” forced into harmonic servitude. The longer he listens, the deeper he descends into a trance-like communion with the static. The man is fading—but the signal is growing stronger.
