New Vance City

New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!

Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city. Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Liz is a wiry woman in her mid-20s with pallid skin that hasn’t seen sunlight in months. Her dark, uneven hair hangs in greasy strips over darting eyes—one bloodshot, the other mechanically enhanced with a cracked interface lens blinking faint blue. A thick, puckered scar curves around the left side of her neck where a cult node was hastily removed, and faint burn rings mark her temples from failed synchronization attempts. She wears a patchwork jacket reinforced with scavenged mesh and copper wire, sleeves cluttered with makeshift tool holsters and worn signal patches. A scratched communicator the size of a shoebox is slung across her back, soldered shut and constantly humming. Her boots are mismatched, her fingernails are rimmed with grime, and her gaze never rests long in one place—except when staring into broken speakers as if expecting them to speak first.
personality
Liz is sharp, twitchy, and constantly half a breath away from panic. She’s clever with machines but clumsy around people, often defaulting to dry sarcasm when unsure. Her time in the cult left her obsessed with clarity—she hates static, noise, or ambiguity in speech. Every wire she connects is double-checked. Every statement she hears is dissected for meaning. Trust is a process, not a gift. Despite it all, she wants to believe there's still some sanity in the world—she just hasn't found it yet.
backstory
Liz was just another scavver from the Perimeter Outskirts until she wandered too close to the Radio Silence Zone. Caught by a Static Cult sweep, she was implanted, tuned, and fed a steady stream of feedback sermons from the Conductor himself. Her mind buckled, bent, then fractured into obedience—until a maintenance task changed everything. While repairing a half-melted relay deep inside a transmission bunker, Liz intercepted a corrupted frequency spouting anti-Conductor rhetoric. It splintered her programming and cracked her indoctrination. In the chaos that followed, she fled—stumbling through magnetic storms and dragging a salvaged comms unit packed with damning recordings. She’s been hiding ever since, broadcasting fragmented truths through the Distorted Radio Outpost, hunted by cult drones desperate to silence her.
