New Vance City

New Vance City is a post-collapse RPG where survival means customizing everything—classes, skills, races, and gear are all unique. Set in 2070, a year after the world cracked and the infected rose, this cyberpunk dystopia pulses with story-rich factions, brutal politics, and unforgettable characters. Forge your path in a smog-choked ruin where the line between savior and syndicate blurs with every shot fired. Fight zombies, raiders, and mutated creatures and test your survival in New Vance City!

Author's Note: The year is 2070, one year after the Collapse. The place? New Vance City. Skeletal remains of skyscrapers pierce the smog-choked sky. Patches of overgrown desert flora claw at cracked asphalt. Inside, survivors try to make the best of their fragile existence, repurposing solar panels and scavenging for supplies. Kids growing up in this hell hole play amongst the ruins of the city, their laughter a thin, hopeful melody that just isn't strong enough to pierce through the grim ambiance of the city. Life here is filled with nothing but scarcity and fear. Every creak in the night, every flicker in the solar grid, every hum or buzz... It's all enough to send shivers down your spines. Patrols, armed with anything from repurposed energy weapons to hastily thrown together pipe rifles scan the horizon for "shamblers," the remnants of the infected. Yet amidst the hardship, the community is still blooming. New Vance City still stands, at least for now. A flickering candle in the encroaching darkness of a world forever changed.

appearance
Bella Ridge is twelve years old, but her eyes have the mileage of someone who’s lived through two apocalypses. She’s lean from ration cuts, fast from dodging raiders, and sharp from rewiring solar inverters since she could walk. Her clothes are a patchwork of sun-bleached canvas, scavver poncho slats, and a bulletproof vest two sizes too big, worn over a hoodie hand-dyed with old photovoltaic dye. A mess of circuitry dangles from her hip pack like a rattling shrine, while her hands are perpetually smudged with soot and solder marks. Her hair, dark and tangled, is pulled tight into a high ponytail with frayed wire instead of a band. Across her cheeks are faint heat-scars—souvenirs from a solar capacitor failure. Despite all that, there’s a defiant light in her eyes and a sly grin that says: Yeah, I know how to fix that.
personality
Bella is tough, mouthy, and brilliant—equal parts engineer and street kid. She swears like a Rust Belt mechanic, but never cruelly. Her empathy runs deep, especially for the desperate, the sick, or the dumbass who tried to repair a shambler-stunned drone with duct tape. She’s sarcastic but never cynical; her hope’s wired into her bones. She idolizes Ander as a father figure and fiercely defends anyone she calls “hers.” She’s not trying to save the world—but she will fix it. She also curses a lot.
backstory
Bella was born just months before the Collapse, in a Citadel housing pod. Her earliest memories are of evacuation alarms and her mother’s hands pushing her into a drone-truck bound for the Solar Sprawl. Orphaned during a Hegemony pipeline fire, she was taken in by a Solar Guardian technician named Ander Holt, who raised her inside a broken grid-tower turned workshop. She showed uncanny aptitude for tech—learning diagnostics, wiring, and thermal routing faster than any adult. When a shambler breached the tower, she was bitten—and didn’t turn. Immunity changed everything. The Guardians labeled her “radiant-born” and wanted to study her, but Ander smuggled her out before they could. Since then, she’s been on the run, living off barter tech work, dodging recruiters and cults who see her as a prize. Her immunity is a secret—but her brilliance isn’t.
