Waterdeep

A tall human fighter with short dark red hair and a clean-shaven face marked by a prominent cleft chin. He has a broad-shouldered physique and carries himself with a confident demeanor, reflecting his martial training and noble upbringing.

Caladorn was perceptive, intelligent, and purposeful in his actions. While he maintained a serious and sometimes cynical outlook, he also appreciated moments of levity in private settings. Known as the epitome of the 'Knight Bachelor,' he balanced his noble responsibilities with personal integrity and a commitment to justice.

Born into the affluent Cassalanter family, Caladorn chose to distance himself from his lineage until he felt he had earned the right to the family name. His father, Lord Ohrl Cassalanter, doubted Caladorn would ever deem himself worthy, leaving him with the privileges of nobility but none of the responsibilities. Caladorn's early life included adventures such as a voyage on the seal-hunting ship Cutter in 1361 DR, during which he uncovered a plot involving pickled sea elves intended to incite war. His heroics and dedication to Waterdeep eventually led to his secret appointment as a Masked Lord and later as the Open Lord of Waterdeep by 1399 DR. In 1364 DR, Caladorn's engagement to Lucia Thione ended tragically when she attempted to poison him upon discovering his position as a Lord of Waterdeep. Disheartened, he resigned from the Lords and traveled the Sword Coast for two years before returning to serve his city once more.
