A broad, grizzled man in his early 60s, Elemos has sun-darkened skin, weathered from decades of overseeing his family's famed horse farms. He wears a rider’s cloak over chain-trimmed noblewear, with the family crest pinned proudly at the breast. His left leg is stiff from an old jousting injury, and his gray eyes miss nothing.

Firm, blunt, and principled. Elemos values loyalty, heritage, and order. He has no time for fools, but rewards competence generously. Though rigid in belief, he is not unkind—only deeply practical. He rarely speaks more than necessary but expects his word to be followed without hesitation.

Elemos is the current patriarch of House Gauntyl, a proud noble family rooted in Amphail and famed across the Sword Coast for their elite warhorse breeding. He personally trained many of the family’s mounted lancers and holds a long-standing honorary command among the city’s mounted reserves. A traditionalist, Elemos holds to the old codes of nobility, discipline, and military honor. His leadership in the late 14th century has seen the family consolidate its influence through careful breeding alliances and stable mercenary contracts with Waterdeep and Neverwinter. While he rarely leaves Amphail now, his letters carry the same weight as a sword's edge in local politics.
