appearance
A slender man with short blond hair, a neatly trimmed beard, and fair skin. He often appears worried, his brow perpetually furrowed. He dresses in the latest Waterdhavian fashions, favoring elegant robes that reflect his noble status.
personality
Djarrus is a well-intentioned and compassionate individual, deeply committed to the welfare of Waterdeep and its citizens. His demeanor is often marked by concern, reflecting his sense of responsibility. However, his trust in those around him, particularly his seneschal, made him vulnerable to manipulation.
backstory
Born in 1340 DR to Bhaedulph and Aurora Gost, Djarrus is the eldest son of House Gost, a noble family in Waterdeep. He has a sister, Tasmia, a brother, Dundald, and a half-sister, Corinna Lathankin. In the 1370s DR, Djarrus became the patriarch of House Gost. Unbeknownst to him, he was under the thrall of Artor Morlin, the Master Vampire of Waterdeep, who had assumed the identity of Delinth Oberlin, the family's seneschal. Under Morlin's influence, Djarrus became a silent patron of the Foes of the Fang, an adventuring company dedicated to eradicating vampires. He provided them with information about rival vampire groups, unaware that he was being manipulated to eliminate Morlin's competition. Djarrus also donated a significant portion of the Gost family fortune to the Church of Lathander, supporting his half-sister Corinna and her husband Jandar Ilbaereth, both members of the Order of the Aster.
