In the Year of Wild Magic (1372 DR), Sydon pursued his arcane studies at the prestigious Blackstaff Academy, located within Blackstaff Tower in Waterdeep's Castle Ward. Under the tutelage of the legendary archmage Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun and his consort Laeral Silverhand, Sydon honed his magical abilities alongside other notable apprentices. His time at the academy not only advanced his arcane prowess but also deepened his understanding of Waterdeep's intricate political and social dynamics.
