A male human priest and crusader of Selûne with pale skin and a shaven head, distinguished by a silver crescent moon emblazoned on his forehead—a sacred mark of his order.
personality
Uton exemplifies the virtues of vigilance, devotion, and unwavering faith. His actions during the Time of Troubles highlight his commitment to protecting the sanctity of the House of the Moon and upholding the tenets of Selûne.
backstory
Uton served as a devoted crusader of Selûne and was a member of the Knights of the Half Moon at the House of the Moon temple in Waterdeep during the mid–14th century DR. During the Time of Troubles in 1358 DR, a tumultuous period when deities walked the mortal realm, Uton was stationed at the temple when a supposed avatar of Selûne resided there. One night, Uton and a fellow knight confronted two intruders, Onyx and Timoth, who had infiltrated the temple disguised in stolen robes of the Knights. Timoth attempted to deceive them by claiming they were new converts, but Uton, noting the ill-fitting robes, remained suspicious. He promptly alerted High Priestess Naneatha Suaril, leading to the apprehension of the intruders. Naneatha then summoned hell hounds to deal with them.
