Moarinskoar Irlingstar, scion of the noble House Irlingstar of Waterdeep, was known for his adventurous spirit and defiance of aristocratic expectations. Rejecting the comforts of noble life, he left Irlingstar Villa to pursue a life at sea, initially as a trader along the Sword Coast. His ventures eventually led him into piracy, where he gained notoriety for his daring exploits. Legends speak of Moarinskoar's transformation into undeath, becoming a wight and commanding a crew of zombies aboard the ghost ship Moonwind. This spectral vessel is said to haunt the waters near Waterdeep, with Moarinskoar accosting ships to deliver a message to his mother: 'Tell my mother I love her; but I'm not ready to come home yet.'
