Harkas is a fervent devotee of Tyr, embodying the principles of justice, duty, and righteousness. His unwavering commitment to his faith often leads him to prioritize his religious obligations over familial or political responsibilities. He is known for his strict discipline, expecting the same level of dedication from his peers and subordinates.

Harkas Kormallis, the eldest son of Lord Helm Kormallis, was born into a family with a complex history of mercenary work and darker dealings, including ties to the slave trade. Upon the family's ennoblement in 1258 DR, they renounced their past, but Harkas chose to dedicate his life to Tyr, distancing himself from the family's affairs and creating a rift due to his disinterest in the title and estate management. He now serves as a Senior Paladin of the Knights of Samular, embodying justice and righteousness in Waterdeep.
