Born into the newly established House Maerklos in 1332 DR, Tehss is the eldest daughter of Aldara Marrek and Bastiabas Relekos. She inherited the family's latent magical talents, known as 'the Sight,' which manifested strongly in her. Seeking to hone her abilities, Tehss became a member of Halaster's Heirs, an arcane academy within Undermountain founded by Trobriand and Muiral, former apprentices of Halaster Blackcloak. There, she advanced her studies and contributed by crafting magic items as part of her dues.
