Born in 1353 DR to Khorom Thorp of the noble Thorp family, Stelar was raised amidst wealth and influence. In 1370 DR, at the age of 17, she traveled to Silverymoon seeking to become an apprentice in the Art. By 1377 DR, Stelar became the consort of Lord Laskar Nesher, patriarch of House Nesher. Their relationship was notable for the age difference, as she was only five years older than Laskar's son, Kastonoph "Noph" Nesher. Stelar's influence extended beyond her immediate family, serving on a council of lords-regent alongside Hulameros Rhond and Khorom Thorp.
