backstory
Laskar Nesher has been the patriarch of House Nesher since at least 1357 DR. He built a sizable illicit logging empire, often engaging in underhanded dealings to expand his wealth and influence. In 1371 DR, during the wedding of Open Lord Piergeiron the Paladinson and Eidola of Neverwinter, Laskar attempted to blackmail the bride over her mysterious past. His son, Noph, discovered this plot and grew increasingly disgusted with his father's actions. Following Piergeiron's apparent death, Laskar sought to position himself as a successor, stirring public opinion and providing enchanted furnishings for the Palace of Waterdeep. However, his amateurish enchantments were altered by Khelben Arunsun to reflect sinister plots, undermining Laskar's ambitions.
