A wealthy and influential noble of Waterdeep, Porb was known for his indulgent lifestyle and penchant for high-stakes gambling. His confidence in his status and wealth often led him to take significant risks, both financially and personally.

In the late 1490s DR, Porb Piiradost traveled to Neverwinter to participate in the revived High Sun Games, a blood-sport event where adventurers battled monsters in a maze. Alongside other affluent individuals, Porb brought substantial wealth to bet on the games. To secure their fortunes, they entrusted their riches to Lord Forge Fitzwilliam, who offered the use of Castle Never's treasure vault, protected by a powerful Mordenkainen's arcane seal. Unbeknownst to them, Forge had ulterior motives and planned to abscond with their wealth. During the games, Sofina, Forge's advisor and a Red Wizard of Thay, revealed her true identity and used the Horn of Beckoning Death to transform Porb and the other gamblers into zombies. Their fortunes were subsequently lost, scattered across the streets of Neverwinter.
