Lif is mischievous and spiteful, often playing pranks on those who enter his tavern. He has a deep attachment to Trollskull Manor and is fiercely protective of it, viewing new owners as intruders. Despite his chaotic evil nature, he can be surprisingly accommodating to those who show respect for the tavern's legacy. He often speaks in a sarcastic tone, using humor to mask his bitterness about his fate.
backstory
Lif was once a half-elf barkeeper who dedicated his life to running a tavern in Trollskull Manor. Even after his untimely death, he remained bound to the tavern, unable to let go of the place he loved. In his ghostly form, he haunted the manor, trying to scare away any new owners who dared to take over his beloved establishment. However, he had a soft spot for those who showed genuine care for the tavern, and could become accommodating if they respected its history and charm. In 1492 DR, Volothamp Geddarm acquired the manor and later gifted it to a group of adventurers, much to Lif's chagrin.
