A male human with a rugged appearance, Fenerus has short, dark hair peppered with gray and sharp blue eyes that seem to miss nothing. He wears a simple lamplighter's uniform, consisting of a dark cloak and sturdy boots, with a few hidden pockets for his spy tools. His weathered face tells tales of a life filled with adventure and danger, and he carries himself with a confident, yet cautious, posture.

Fenerus is cunning and resourceful, with a knack for blending into the shadows. He speaks with a calm demeanor, often masking his true intentions behind a facade of innocence. His past as a brigand gives him a rough edge, but he has learned to navigate the political landscape of Waterdeep with a shrewd mind.

Fenerus Stormcastle was a retired brigand-turned-spy who operated under the guise of a lamplighter in Waterdeep during the early 1490s DR. He spied on Waterdeep for agents of Luskan, who were actually secret drow operatives of Bregan D'aerthe, providing information about political decisions to his contacts in the City of Sails. Fenerus was the founder of the notorious mounted bandit group known as the Blood Hawk Posse, but after a failed raid, he was ousted as the head of the gang and decided to retire in Waterdeep. Unbeknownst to him, he became the primary spy for Bregan D'aerthe. In 1492 DR, under pressure from the Lords' Alliance, the Lords of Waterdeep ordered the City Watch to arrest him for his past crimes. Before his arrest, he hid the Stone of Golorr, an artifact entrusted to him by Jarlaxle, and sought immunity for his past crimes in exchange for revealing its location.
