Brian, known as Brian the Swordmaster, was a Masked Lord of Waterdeep in the mid–14th century DR. He owned a smith and shop in the Southern Ward, where he worked among the common folk. A skilled swordsmith and armorer, he was part of the 'Like-Minded Lords' and was known for his straightforward demeanor. In 1372 DR, during negotiations with Prince Aglarel Tanthul of Thultanthar, Brian's temper flared, leading to a significant diplomatic incident that affected Waterdeep's alliances.
