Burgaun Malsim was a dedicated human hostler at the Yawning Portal inn in Waterdeep during the late 14th century DR. He worked diligently under the stablemaster Tarlgarth Vathar, alongside his friend Rory Starkbuckle. Their primary goal was to earn Tarlgarth's respect, which they sought above all else. Burgaun was known for his quick thinking and resourcefulness, especially in times of trouble. If chaos erupted at the inn and Durnan was unavailable, Burgaun would bravely blow Durnan's horn to summon the Red Sashes, ensuring the safety of the patrons and the establishment.
